The Parrotlet Ranch has been breeding parrotlets exclusively since 1986. We currently have over one 100 breeding pairs of parrotlets in our aviaries. We offer diversified bloodlines and can guarantee unrelated parrotlets from a well developed gene pool. We are now breeding our 20th generation of most species all of which originated from wild-caught birds in the 1980's. Although we strive to keep our availability list as current as possible, we prefer to spend time caring for our parrotlets rather than updating our web-site. You cannot order our parrotlets via the web-site, you must contact us directly to make arrangements by either e-mailing us at sandee@parrotletranch.com, by telephone at (831) 688-5560 or by fax at (831) 689-9534. The Parrotlet Ranch almost always has a waiting list for our birds. Therefore, it is highly recommended that If you desire one of our parrotlets you make a reservation with us. We do not take deposits and work on a first-come, first-served basis. We do ship our parrotlets by airlines, weather and law permitting. We also allow people to come to our Ranch to pick up their parrotlets by appointment. Sometimes we can make arrangements to deliver a parrotlet if we are speaking at a convention or bird club. We hand-feed all of our parrotlets from 10 days of age. Our Hand-fed Pets/Babies are parrotlets which have a gentle temperament, sweet disposition, well-socialized to a variety of household activities and are usually placed right after they have been weaned. We do not sell unweaned babies.Our Breeder Quality parrotlets are hand-fed and then placed in the aviary with other parrotlets after weaning. These parrotlets make excellent breeders because they have no fear of humans but are not bonded to them either. They know they are birds and do not have the difficulties breeding of many former pet parrotlets. We do have for your reference a complete price list. This lists all of the species and mutations that we breed. Our babies are banded with closed International Parrotlet Society identification bands, sold with a written health guarantee that contains their hatch date and lineage is provided upon request. New owners also receive a copy of our Parrotlet Handbook, Baby Care Instruction Sheet, food, millet spray, information on the International Parrotlet Society and a receipt and we are always available for consultation. We will also provide free wing clipping to our clients if they bring the parrotlet to us by scheduled appointment. Payment may be made in cash, personal or cashier's check, money order, Visa or Mastercard. Sorry, do not accept Discover or American Express. We offer multiple parrotlet single purchase discounts - 10% for three pair or more. At the Parrotlet Ranch we strive to ensure the happiness of birds and their owners. We do offer a refund/exchange on any pet parrotlet that we have sold, regardless of the current age of the parrotlet.
