The Parrotlet Ranch does ship parrotlets inside the United States. We cannot ship to Hawaii or internationally due to governmental regulations. We ship by air either via air-cargo or counter-to-counter service. To find which airlines allow shipping as well as prices, rules, restrictions, regulations and policies click here. This cost is paid by the buyer and must be paid in full, unless the buyer has a COD account with the airline, prior to shipment of the parrotlet. We DO NOT ship parrotlets through the U.S. postal service. It is only legal to ship poultry and game birds via the postal service. It is against regulations to ship exotic birds of any kind including parrotlets. Punishment can include arrest, fine, possible incarceration and confiscation of the birds. Neither Federal Express nor United Parcel Service accept live animals for shipping. We ship our parrotlets only when the weather and airline service allows us to do so. We ship them in airline certified kennels, with the extra protection of placing the parrotlet inside a shipping cage. We comply with all airline safety and security regulations as required. We ship our parrotlets with plenty of food (fresh juicy fruits, seeds and millet spray). We provide food and water containers that may be serviced without opening the cage, as well as extra seed and millet, in the event of unforeseen circumstances that may require airline personal to feed and water the parrotlet. All paperwork and documentation is included inside an envelope inside the carrier along with contact information of both the client and The Parrotlet Ranch in the event the airline needs to make contact. Health Certificates are required by all 50 states as well as the Federal government under the Animal Welfare Act. Our veterinarian charges $20 per certificate and this cost is paid by the client. A $40.00 refundable security deposit is required on our shipping container, cage, perches, food and water cups. This must be paid prior to shipment of the parrotlet. It is refunded upon receipt of the cleaned items to The Parrotlet Ranch.
